Why Did You Create USWCC Business?

To provide the education, advice and tools you need to grow your business.

Dear Friends:

Margot Dorfman, CEO U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce

There's a new leader for women's business advancement --- women themselves. After several years of research and planning, the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce™ has opened a new frontier for business leadership through the establishment of groundbreaking U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce led financial and business services enterprises that put women in the driver's seat for improved retirement planning and business growth (read about The Women-Led Economy™).

Through USWCC Business, we break new ground in our quest to leverage the power, scale and savvy of the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce to level the playing field for women and small businesses, and enable our members to exceed all expectations for business and financial growth. The education, tools and advice available through the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce and USWCC Business (and our other subsidiaries), empower women to learn, plan, and act for themselves and their financial future.

For too long, women have been seen as simply a ripe target market for the sales of business financial products. This target marketing has left women searching for trusted business solutions that are well priced and supported with strong education and assistance.

The leadership of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce knew we could do better. The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce is the independent force behind an economic revolution in America. Using a platform of influence, innovation and opportunity, we work with and for our members to exceed all expectations -- growing successful businesses and careers and planning to retire with confidence.

We're taking the title "women-owned" to the next level in the evolution of women's economic growth through the formation of financial and business services subsidiaries of the chamber. Through this bold act of leadership, the women's chamber transforms the position of women from ripe marketing targets into industry leaders controlling our own destiny, and benefiting from aligning our shared goals and objectives to achieve better economic outcomes for women.

Sincerely,

Margot Dorfman, CEO
U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce™

Why do I care?

Women business owners must be especially focused on growing business profitability.

Headline after headline tells the story of the tremendous growth in the number of women-owned firms.  But few media stories talk about the real issue -- revenues.

Did you know?

  • Even though the number of women’s business grew 44% between 1997 and 2007, our already small revenues-based market share declined over 10% – dropping from 4.41% in 1997 to 3.95% in 2007.
